La Croisière!

Bonjour bonjour!
Here is the second batch of pictures which, hopefully to make up for the lack of postings for  awhile there.
On Sunday, we were taken on what is known here as "La croisière", basically cruise around the St. Laurent on a boat for two hours and have a giant outdoor dance party...but on a boat! And yes they played the song 'I'm on a boat'. Everyone got all dressed up and was looking oh so spiffy so it was nice to see everyone at their finest.

This is Emily, Lauren, and Ellen (left to right), some of the fabulous girls who live on my floor. Both Emily and Ellen are going to be nurses, fantastic ones at that, and it seems I will never escape the presence of a nurse:)

The boat itself! I don't remember what it was called but it was nice, more like a ferry than anything.

Et voilà Natalie, looking all movie star and like.

These are just shots of what we seen pulling out of the harbour.

I do have to admit, it was wonderful being bale to see the city as the sun went down. We passed right by Vieux Québec and I took a tonne of pictures.

Just kicking off the indoor dance-off!

My good ol' grammar buddy Kevin!

Some more grammar buddies! From bottom up we have Caroline (a fellow U of C student woot woot!), Eve, Humda, Caroline and Carrie.

This is l'Île d'Orléans, the island directly facing Québec city.

It got to be so hot inside that the front deck of the boat, (I am so sorry Kalina I don't know any of the boat terminology) became the outdoor dance floor.

The night pictures became a little iffy but I tried my best!

Renou and Lauren shaking it down!

Now this is a great story! On the left is Samuel with Lauren. Samuel is an "animateur". An animateur is an authority figure. Lauren does not recognize authority. Neither does Sam. Need I say more?

All in all, I am glad I went because it was great to be able to spend the time on the boat and see everyone. There were some very beautiful sights of downtown at night but I sadly was not able to capture any of them for you:(

As of today I have one grammar class left, one oral exam, a culture exam and my grammar final. Then home! Everything has gone by so fast!! I will probably have pictures for Thursday nights talent show and probably our last night together on Friday night. They may or may not appear before I leave depending on how much studying time I alott my self ha!

À la prochaine!
