Vieux Québec

Allo!

On Saturday I was finally able to make it down to Viex Quebec to get all my touristy-ish things done! I'm only going to post some of the pictures I took as there are so many! However we were lucky enough to run into a street performer on our way back who was pretty fantastic so I have a video of him that you may enjoy!! (Seeing as my videos seems to be working and I found out that my camera records sound...woops!)

This is the old artillery base and where they used to fabricate their arms right inside the wall that surrounds Vieux Québec.

The oh so elegant city hall. Almost every old or important building has the green copper roofs.

The building with the bell tower is a church and the courtyard area is where we seen the performer on our way back at the end of the day. This is also the main road that leads to Rue St. Jean. A very historical part of town and very beautiful!!

Le grand Chateau Frontenac! There were also quit a few horse drawn carriages around the city that you could take and the drivers doubled as tour guides.

This is just a really cool mural that was done on the side of a building. Its hard to tell but the painting includes historical figures, current celebrities and modern moments.

We went to le Musée de civilisation where there was the "Rome" exhibit on tour. This one is for you Kal! Its the tree of life on a very ancient pot from 500 BC... I was most definitely not allowed to take any pictures but I snuck one in there:)

The docks at Basse-Port.

This was the Marché de Vieux Québec = Farmers Market. There were some very awesome vendors here! Everything between maple syrup, baked goods, jewellery, ostrich and goose farmers....

Now just some really pretty streets we wandered down!

The acrobat we encountered on our way home!!

À la prochaine!
